The 2007 Phipps Family Cellars Sauvignon Blanc was sourced primarily from the Dalla Gasperina Vineyard in Rutherford, CA.  It was 100% barrel fermented in 60-gallon stainless steel & 55-gallon neutral French oak barrels.  During sur-lee aging, the wine was blended with 15% Sauvignon Blanc, Musque clone, from Fortress Vineyards.

The 2006 "Treborce Vineyard" Zinfandel marks our first vineyard-designated wine ever.  It is also the first 100% varietal Zinfandel that we have made.  The Treborce Vineyard is perched high atop the eastern hillside in Dry Creek Valley.  This vineyard produces “Classic Zinfandel” with a distinct core of black cherry, spicy black pepper, and dark chocolate.  This Zinfandel is further characterized by lush blackberry, dark raspberry, and boysenberry fruit that mingle with vanilla, anise, cinnamon, toasty oak, and allspice.

Andrew Phipps calls the 2005 PFC Zinfandel a "Cab-Lover's Zin.  Our style of Zinfandel is to create a complete wine experience from the lavish, black-fruit-filled bouquet to the full, richly-spiced and rounded mouth feel to the everlasting gobstopper finish that, unlike most zinfandels, leaves little trace of alcohol.” 

The Treborce and Bacigalupi Vineyards in the Dry Creek and Russian River Valleys produce “Classic Zinfandel” with a distinct core of black cherry and spicy black pepper.  In the nose, our 2005 Zinfandel displays lush blackberry, Spanish cherries, vanilla, coffee & toffee notes, smores and lavender.  In the mouth, get ready for an explosion of raspberry & blackberry preserves, cassis, and black-skinned Japanese plums in addition to notes of baker’s chocolate and pie spice. All this leads to an exquisite velvety finish that is further highlighted by sweet, lingering tannins.

The grapes selected for our 2004 Sonoma County Ranches Zinfandel came from the Bacigalupi Ranch in Russian River Valley and the Ramazzotti Ranch in Dry Creek Valley. We feel that these two appellations in Sonoma County produce the best Zinfandel in California. These vineyards produce "Classic Zinfandel" with a distinct core of black cherry and spicy black pepper. The PFC Sonoma County Ranches Zinfandel is further characterized by lush blackberry, dark raspberry and boysenberry fruit that mingle with vanilla, anise, cinnamon, toasty oak & allspice. Cheers!
